weekend...

another weekend at nini's means another food-filled and fun-filled time for us! i was actually thinking of the paella we had last week, which i didn't enjoy very much because i wasn't feeling too well from the meds i've been taking. and lo and behold, when dinner came, there was paella!!!

we spent the weekend yet again at nini's! surprised? hehehe... more than the sumptuous food that we had, i was actually kind of craving to see them just to talk... about things.. well, i'm not going to elaborate anymore but... let me just say that it is a comfort to be amongst great friends during trying times..

Lunch and Merienda-Cena at Pancake House....

since it was already almost 5:00 pm when we had the chance to eat.... i'd say that my lunch for today was also my afternoon snacks as well as my dinner.... i started with the soup of the day (as per suggestion of nini - so that our stomachs won't be shocked with the sudden influx of food!!!), followed by the grilled pork belly, and topped off with a pecan-walnut banana waffle.... all these gulped down with refillable iced tea....

lynn and i met up with nini at medical city for my check-up... which lead to pigging out at pancake house! go figure! hehehe... and the photos above are what I had... lynn will post his of course...

Need I Say More.....

what more can i say? everytime we're at nini's it's just like we're on a vacation! ......and the food? .......the food is always fantastic!!! nini (and yaya rose) have a way of dishing out fabulous dishes (pun intended!) which are not only pleasing to the palate but to the eyes as well. they can transform even an ordinary sardinas in can into a gourmet "les sardines de sauteed dans la sauce de tomate du fait de pouvoir"!!!

it's a pity that i wasn't able to partake of the breakfast with them.... 'coz i had to leave early this morning to open our meatshop. but i was back for lunch, though!!!

ah.... la vie est magnifique quand vous êtes avec de tels bons aliments et de bons amis!!!

we had a sleepover at nini's last night so you can expect that we were always full to our hearts' content after every meal... nini and rob along with lynn are helping me with a problem that has been eating me up... almost literally... sigh.. life.

but i gotta admit that i am very, very thankful to have friends who love and support me... it's not so easy to face everything on my own...

Late Lunch at Cibo.....

since we were going to glorietta to get jon's bracelet, we decided to have lunch there as well.... (actually, it's because today is celia's, our personal chef at the meatshop, day-off!!!). for a while there we had some difficulty deciding which restaurant to go. finally, to make sure that we won't be disappointed, we settled on cibo.....

i had parfalle alla genovese, a sausage panini, a slice of torta ricotta in caramel sauce, and red grape shake.

needless to say, i thoroughly enjoyed every last bit and drop.... and cibo came through for us again!!!!
